145.490 Fairhaven Repeater Temporarily Off-Air

Hello to all..

Between Friday Morning and Sunday Evening, the Fairhaven Repeater will be taken out of service due to construction on the water tower where the repeater is located. The construction on the water tower will take approximately 2-3 months. We are hoping to have the repeater up and running at an alternate location within a couple weeks. The level of coverage from the alternate location will depend on where it is ultimately located. Once the water tower work is completed, we intend to return the repeater to its original location with a new antenna and feedline. This will likely mean better coverage from the repeater and the resolution of some of the crackling and other issues we’ve had at times with the repeater over the past few years. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as this work is completed.
